Philadelphia is brimming with businesses working in the creative sector. This award strives to recognize a successful business who has strong ties to Philadelphia’s creative sector and could be said to be at an intersection between arts & business.

AWARD CRITERIA

The nominated company or individual must:

Meet the definition of a business within the for-profit creative economy consistent with the industry categories including but not limited to: advertising, architecture, interior and industrial design, graphic arts, game and multimedia design, digital media, fashion design, music production, film and video production, photography and marketing and communications.*

Be independently owned and operated (can not be a division of, a franchisee, branch, licensee and/or subsidiary of another company/organization). The nominee CAN be a sole proprietor.*

Must have 4 full years of revenue. If picked as a finalist, must be able to provide percentage of gross revenue growth over the past 3 years.*

Show commitment to social responsibility and exemplify strong community involvement.*

Bring visibility to Philadelphia as leader in the for-profit creative sector.*

Exemplify the unity of creative and conventional business practices.*

Be headquartered in the 11-county Greater Philadelphia region including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia in PA; Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Mercer and Salem in NJ; and New Castle, DE.*

The nominee has not previously received as Arts + Business Council Award. *
